Decatur Branch to Provide Limited Services During Recarpeting Project
Library services will be reduced during a nearly month-long recarpeting project beginning Wednesday, November 5 at the Decatur Branch of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, 5301 Kentucky Avenue.
The branch will be closed on Wednesday, November 5 and will reopen on Thursday, November 6 with limited services for patrons out of the branch community room.

WTTS "Rock To Read" Concert to Benefit IMCPL Foundation

This year, WTTS, along with Forum Credit Union, has announced two shows to support the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation. JJ Grey & Mofro, along with Eric Hutchinson will play the Vogue Friday November 21 at 9pm and Susan Tedeschi (with James Hunter) will also play at the Vogue Monday, November 24 at 8pm. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone, The Vogue box office, or online at wttsfm.com. Proceeds from both shows will benefit the children’s reading programs of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation. JJ GREY & MOFRO are known for their deep soul, blues and rock, while two-time Grammy-nominated SUSAN TEDESCHI is known as a talented guitarist and distinctive songwriter.
IMCPL's 2008 November Read-Aloud Program "Join the Hungry Crowd! Read Aloud!"

Families with young children are invited to enjoy spending time reading together during the 2008 November Read-Aloud Program, "Join the Very Hungry Crowd! Read Aloud!" Inspired by 40th anniversary of the popular children's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, this year's program encourages participants to spend at least four hours reading aloud together throughout the month.
Registration begins November 1 at any IMCPL branch location, Central Library downtown, and the bookmobile.
Bestselling Author Nicholas Sparks to Present 2009 McFadden Lecture

New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sparks will present the 2009 McFadden Memorial Lecture, sponsored by the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation and The Patricia Cornwell Foundation, on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 7 p.m. at North Central High School, 1801 E. 86th Street.
